At HGBCHURCH, we believe that Life Groups are the best place for people to connect and “do life together”. We are committed to building relationships that encourage us to grow in Christ.
We believe one of the greatest blessings in life is community. God built us for relationships both with Him and with others. Our daily lives reflect God most when we are in a close relationship with Him. God also designed us to live in relationship with other people. No person should be an island! We find joy in life when we live in an authentic community, where people are real and honest about who they are and where they come from. Everyone faces times of hardship and times of celebration, and there is nothing like a supportive group of friends to walk through those times with.
Life Groups encourage, equip and challenge us to grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ. It is our hope that through our Life Groups we can create a safe environment where people can ‘know and be known, love and be loved, serve and be served, celebrate and be celebrated’.
ONE OF THE BEST THINGS WE DO HERE IS OUR LIFE GROUPS! IT’S A GREAT WAY TO GROW IN COMMUNITY AND BUILD YOUR FAITH OUTSIDE OF SUNDAY SERVICE! NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE, THERE’S A LIFE GROUP FOR YOU!
Format of the Life Groups
Life Groups are ideally made up of six to eight individuals who meet in someone’s home for fellowship, Bible study, prayer, and accountability. The purpose of the groups is very simple, to help people to follow Jesus; nothing more, nothing less. The main way our groups seek to do this, is by helping people to understand and apply God’s Word, the Bible, so that it brings ‘Life Change’ – genuine, lasting, fruit-bearing transformation through the Holy Spirit.
